About
Professor Drakopoulos obtained a B.A. in economics from The Economics University of Athens, and an M.Sc and Ph.D in economics from the University of Stirling, UK. He was a Teaching Assistant (1986-1988) at the University of Stirling, Lecturer A (1988-1989) at the University of Glasgow, Lecturer B (1990-1996) at the University of Aberdeen, Assistant Professor (1996-2000) and Associate Professor (2000-2005) at the University of Athens. He is currently a full Professor of Economics in the Department of Philosophy and History of Science of the University of Athens (since September 2005). Professor Drakopoulos’s research interests include Economic Methodology and History of Economic Thought, Labour Economics and Subjective Well-being, and Alternative Theories of Choice. He has 39 Scientific Publications in Refereed Journals, 2 books, 11 Articles in edited books and Encyclopedias including books published by Routledge, Edward Elgar, and Springer and 14 Book Reviews (77 scientific works in total).
